Liver Transplantation is the official journal of AASLD. Liver Transplantation publishes original clinical and laboratory-based research related to the fields of liver transplantation, liver surgery, and chronic liver disease in both humans and experimental models.

Seeking Editor for Liver Transplantation

The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) is seeking an editor for Liver Transplantation. Candidates for the position should:

  • Be well-established and well-respected in academic hepatology, with a high profile in the field
  • Have a broad understanding of basic and clinical research in the field
  • Be experienced in editorial decision making
  • Be highly skilled in editing and writing
  • Be an AASLD regular or emeritus member (North American resident) throughout the complete tenure

The term will be January 2021 through December 2025, however the Editor should have an Editorial Board in place by July 1, 2020, at which time he or she will start to receive and review manuscripts. Manuscript processing has been and will continue to be through the AASLD office in Alexandria, Virginia.

Each candidate should submit by June 24, 2019:

  • A curriculum vitae
  • Letters of support from the Dean and Department Chair of his or her academic affiliation
  • A detailed statement outlining an editorial vision for the immediate future of Liver Transplantation content and strategic plan to accomplish these goals, including general approach to editorial team structure

The selection committee will review applications and will meet with finalists in September 2019, as part of the final selection process.
