Special Interest Group, Governing Board, and Committee Discussion Forum Guidelines
Please read the following rules for posting messages to the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), Special Interest Groups (SIGs), Governing Board (GB), and Committee Sites. Otherwise, you will not be able to participate.
AASLD Mission Statement and Discussion Forum Rules
I. Discussion Forum Mission
The Special Interest Group (SIG), Governing Board (GB), and Committee discussion forums are intended primarily to expedite communication among SIG, GB, and Committee members in related disciplines on important issues related to the business of SIGs, the Governing Board and Committees. Subscription to these Discussion Forums are open only to AASLD/SIG/GB/Committee members in good standing.
II. Rules for Posting to Discussion Forums
A. Who May Submit Messages to the discussion forum:
SIG/Governing Board/Committee Chairs and group members may posts messages to their respective Discussion Forum.
B. The Prime Consideration for Those Submitting Messages:
Please do not submit messages to SIG/GB/Committee discussion forums unless you are reasonably certain your message is of sufficient professional concern to the subscribers, or that a reply would be of sufficient professional service to yourself, that it warrants delivery to the subscribers of the SIG/GB/Committee discussion forum.
C. Submission Requirements:
1. The information listed must be related to events, action items, updates, and other business related to the SIG, GB, or Committee.
D. Inappropriate Submissions:
1. Commercial advertisements (SPAM), solicitation, jokes or chain letters
2. Topics generally irrelevant to the SIG, AASLD, or Committee business
3. Personal communications between individuals
4. Replies to individuals' requests for information which is not of significant interest to the membership at large
5. Personal criticism of individuals, committees, or staff at AASLD
6. Personal or confidential information about others
7. Topics related to the care and treatment of patients
8. You must not post or transmit any unlawful, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, profane, or otherwise objectionable information of any kind.
